Our Story: How It All Began

Bayaan Association is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting authentic Islamic teachings based on the Qur’an and the Sunnah, as understood by the Salaf-us-Saalih (Righteous Predecessors). Our mission is to inspire the Muslim community to embrace the true understanding of Islam, fostering both spiritual growth and positive social impact.

In 2005, a group of dedicated students recognised the need for an organisation to help the Muslim community follow the correct teachings of Islam. After consulting respected asatizahs, Bayaan was founded. By Allah’s grace, Bayaan was officially registered on 5th August 2013.

The Name “Bayaan”

The name “Bayaan” comes from Qur’an Chapter Ar-Rahman, Verse 4, meaning “eloquent speech.” According to Ibn Al-Kathir, Hasan al-Basri explained that “Bayaan” refers to the clarity with which Allah teaches the Qur’an, enabling His servants to understand and articulate His words with precision. This reflects our mission to promote clear and authentic understanding, empowering individuals to contribute positively to their communities.
